Interested in becoming a Sitterzen sitter?
Sitterzen's difference is that all sitters on our platform have been used and trusted by parents in their local neighbourhood. Sitters can only join the Sitterzen community by being nominated by a local parent.
If you're interested in joining the community, there are two steps to get started:
1. Find a parent to nominate you
We recommend emailing the parent you'd like to nominate you with the following information:
I'm contacting you to ask if you would nominate me to be a Sitterzen sitter.
Sitterzen is a new online platform that helps parents find babysitters who are trusted by other parents in their local neighbourhood.
It's a bit like Uber for babysitters, and has been created by a Mum from Mt Eden called Jane Haagh.
You can find out all about it here: sitterzen.co.nz
It's a platform that would really help me as a sitter find more work in our community.
But to join the platform, I have to be nominated by a parent who I've sat for, and who can vouch for me.
The requirements for being nominated are:
1. I must have sat for you at least twice in the past.
2. You'll need to join (or already have joined) the Sitterzen community.
Sitterzen makes this super easy for you - signing up is free, takes just a couple of minutes, and there is no obligation to use the platform if you don't want to.
3.You must be willing to recommend me to others - your first name and photo will be shown alongside mine as a parent who trusts me.
I'd be very grateful if you'd be willing to nominate me. If you are - just let me know and I will start the process with Sitterzen and give them your email address, and they'll be in touch to complete the process.
2. Fill out the following form to get started - we'll be in touch within 48 hours to process your application.
